A logistics company based near Chertsey, Surrey has an urgent need for additional accounting support in their small, friendly Head Office team.
Working with an Accounts Manager and reporting to the Finance Director, this person will work primarily on the AR & AP ledgers and assisting with processing a small payroll. You will assist with all related accounts administration (eg matching off income statements and bank recs) and work on ad hoc duties as required. Monthly transactions add up to circa 400 so whilst volumes are not as high as some SME standards, they are composite and often complicated to resolve queries.
The Head Office consists of circa 10 staff and working in a small office, you will be expected to answer the phone, receive deliveries and assist and cover for colleagues as required in a collaborative culture and environment.
Previous use of a Sage accounting package and Sage Payroll would be beneficial. Previous logistics experience is not necessary but would also be useful.
This is a stable team and this role to backfill for someone retiring.
