Head Office Retail and HR
As interviewed by Mark Edwards
1.What attracted you to a recruitment career?
I researched recruitment careers while I was studying and felt it would be a good fit to my strengths. Although the truth is that since watching Gwyneth Paltrow in ‘Emma’, I have had a fascination with Match Making. I did try matching making between my friends but found that they were much happier when I helped them with their CVs and job hunts than when I meddled in their romances. I guess it started there really.
2.Name a celebrity you admire and why?
If David Cameron counts as a celebrity then I would name him because he represents my ideal man – smart, powerful, family orientated and a bit tongue in cheek. If not, then I would have to go with Eva Green because she’s beautiful, about to star as Virginia Woolf (my literary heroine) and, of course, she was a Bond girl.
3.What would you describe as the greatest strength of Amdas?
Definitely the willingness to go above and beyond for our clients. More than this though, everyone in the office are genuinely amazing people. My first day at Amdas was the best first day of a new job ever because everyone made me feel so welcome.
4.What is your “go to” Karaoke song and why? If you don’t have one, what would you do under pain of death?
I do not sing… in fact, my ‘singing voice’ is so bad that my other half begs me to stop whenever I’m humming. There is no song I would sing under pain of death.
5.Name your food heaven and your food hell!
Food Heaven: Lobster
Food Hell: Liver (unless its pate)
6.What would you say is your biggest achievement in your working life?
Getting a role with Amdas of course!
I cannot recommend this company and their dedicated staff highly enough. I was going through a redundancy and I was concerned that I would be out of work for a while. But Kelly called me from Amdas and, within a week, I had secured a new position. More importantly I was listened to and supported every step of the way. I am truly grateful to Amdas.
