Operations Manager

Veteran Recruiter, spanning over 25 years expertise having started in the ‘High Street style’ recruitment before specialising in Media including Publishing, Events & Conferences.

Leveraging her experience and knowledge to date, Karen also leads a team of experienced Consultants but equally passionate about recruitment and truly a hands-on Recruiter.

Questions to Karen as interviewed by Alex

1.Where would you most like to live and why?
Hard question as I would love to live in Africa but I haven’t been there so I would have to choose my love of Tapas, so Spain, somewhere on the outskirts of Marbella. Or Luba’s choice of Canada, just so I could annoy her!

2. What would you change about yourself?

My age

3.If you could go back in time and meet anyone – who would you choose to meet and why?

I would like to go back and meet my Great Grandmother, having heard so many interesting and fascinating stories and to find out what it was like to emigrate to Australia in the 1940’s

4. What is your favourite decade and why?

Torn between the 70’s and the 90’s – loved Bowie and my Chopper bike, or early 90’s dance music, the good old days; had my own flat and a red Fiesta XR2!

5.Which celebrity do you think you are most like?

Mother Theresa – as I must have the patience of a saint, running a home, managing two teenagers whilst working in recruitment.

6.What is 7×7? OR what is your favourite song of all time?

49 and Earth Wind and Fire – Fantasy,  I watched them live at Penshurst Place, on a warm summers evening with a glass of Pimms – absolutely perfect!

Karen is certainly in a league of her own. She is dedicated to finding the right opportunities and supporting a candidate throughout. I have nothing but praises for Karen, she handled my career transition to media incredibly well and with such efficiency that you don’t often see.
