Media Research and Insight Assistant

Independent business media company is looking to recruit a Media Research and Insight Assistant. This is a newly created role to support the Head of Research & Customer Insight.

This would be a great role for someone who is wishing to develop their career in market research within a client-side research team in a growing media company.

The main fundamentals of the role are to help the head of research to improve the quality, processes, and depth of their current research and insight programs across the group, and help to generate and implement innovative ideas for new research topics, types, and distribution channels

To achieve this you will be involved with quantitative research; assisting with questionnaire design, creating online surveys using Decipher (research platform) Excellent communication skills are paramount as you will be working closely with the marketing team to collect data, plan and distribute online surveys. Prepare graphs, tables, and charts from survey data

My client is also looking for someone that is tech-savvy to export data from the online survey platform and preparing it for the head of research.

The 2nd part of the role is qualitative research. This will involve assisting with in-person and telephone interviews and discussion guide development, collate data to help head of research analyze qualitative data, identifying and communicating key trends, themes and patterns, and recruitment of public and stakeholder audiences for interviews and focus groups

Other elements of the role will require you to develop a good understanding of, and interest in, their core market verticals, work closely with other departments to understand editorial themes, collate research requirements and proactively suggest improvements and innovative ideas

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in market / qualitative research, mathematics, data science or equivalent which include - business studies, marketing, behavior economics, sociology
and psychology
This is a great entry-level role - This role requires an ‘all-rounder’ with a minimum of 1 year’s market research experience ideally agency side experience
A digital thinker comfortable with social media and new technologies

To fulfill this role we are looking for candidates with 1-2 years of B2B event admin experience and advanced Excel skills.
