Education
Amdas have historically worked with a number of key Educational organisations providing support staff and Amdas Education is the latest addition to its family of recruitment disciplines. Liam McCann brings 11 years of specialism recruiting Teachers to numerous schools throughout London and the Home Counties.
With new OFSTED baseline targets focus, schools will increasingly require long term teaching provision and one-to-one student mentoring. Thus ensuring rigorous academic standards are delivered.
We only register the top 10% of applicants. Increasingly schools recognise that whether they advertise themselves or use our services, a recruitment fee is attached. Once all related recruitment costs are factored, i.e. short-listing, interviewing, lesson observations, CRB, referencing etc. schools are often surprised that they can make a significant cost saving by utilising our service. The flexibility Amdas offers to clients across it’s group of disciplines means that we position ourselves to tailor recruitment packages to a client’s individual needs, be it a straight forward contingency search, a full selection process, retained assignments or “bundles”, negotiating rates accordingly.
Amdas are members of the REC’s Education Sector Group. As a result we are bound by a strict code of conduct in terms of compliance and safeguarding. Amdas are more than willing to assist with SLT recruitment requirements as well as mid-management, teaching and support roles.
Liam McCann | Divisional Manager
Originally from the north-west of Ireland, Liam has resided in London since 1989. Following University Liam joined Sainsbury’s as a Retail Management Trainee. After successfully completing an 18 month training programme he was seconded to the Central Office team where he spent almost nine years as a Food Buyer. Following the birth of his third son, Liam opted for change in career direction moving from one side of the table to the other, buying to selling (same thing!). Liam was part of the management team that launched MSM Education. During his time at MSM Liam successfully tendered for the then London Mayor’s Preferred Agency List. MSM was acquired by Tradewind in 2005. Since then Liam has been involved in a number of successful start-ups. He prides himself in proving continuity of delivery for his schools and candidates. He has been recruiting for some of his clients for eight plus years. A lover of music and all things food resulted, Liam is an avid Manchester United fan. Noteworthy achievements include completing the rubik cube in 27 seconds!
